Cancer Treatment Health Optimization Program

The Cancer Treatment Health Optimization Program is designed to rapidly assess and optimize metabolic and immune health and cardiopulmonary fitness in patients with a new cancer diagnosis who are beginning cancer treatment.

Types of Treatment Supported

These treatments can include:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Immunotherapy
  • Radiotherapy
  • Surgery
  • Combinations of these

Program Goals

The goal is to increase the tolerability and response to therapy and reduce the risk of relapse through favorable changes in metabolic and immune health and cardiopulmonary fitness.

Our Approach

The program will be data driven through:

  • Baseline measurement of metabolic, immune and cardiopulmonary fitness
  • Routine data collection
  • Wearable devices

Evidence-based changes in nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management and targeted use of supplements and drugs will be combined to improve these parameters.

Changes will be made rapidly to improve these parameters prior to and during treatment.

The specific focus of interventions will vary based upon the patient’s baseline fitness and metabolic health, disease site, stage, and treatment plan.

The metabolic optimization plan will be developed in collaboration with the managing oncology team to ensure seamless integration and synergy with the planned treatment.
