Why is this not a part of “standard” health care?

Traditional medicine and oncology rely upon “evidence based medicine” to guide treatment. This requires that new strategies need to be confirmed to have statistically significant benefit and limited risk in a randomized, controlled clinical trial before they are accepted as “standard of care”. Randomized trials of lifestyle interventions are challenging, expensive and may require many years or decades to complete.

There is a tremendous amount of evidence that lifestyle and metabolic changes can impact cancer outcomes, including a few small randomized clinical trials. Many traditional oncologists now recognize this, but they do not have the knowledge, experience, resources and time to provide in-depth guidance in this area.

Our programs fill this gap by providing comprehensive, personalized guidance on lifestyle and metabolic interventions that complement traditional oncology care.
